And inside that, the catering corner specifically was where the math got absurd. A single corporate catering inquiry could turn into a $5,000 booking. Then a $15,000 quarter. Then a recurring office account. Then organic referrals from every attendee of every event. One lead, worked correctly, was worth more than most service businesses earn from twenty.

The problem wasn't the leads. The problem was that almost nobody running a catering operation had a system to handle them. Phone rings during prep, voicemail catches it, $10K booking gone. Quote sent, never followed up, contract goes to a competitor. Past corporate clients sitting in an inbox somewhere with nobody nurturing them.
